Unable to change the graphic background color

Summary



In the default chart control, unable to change the chart background color despite built-in settings to change the colors of the wedges/lines/bars. The requirment is to change the background color to gray, instead of the default white.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a chart and include it within a section.
  2. In the chart options, there is no option to change the chart background color.
  3. At run time, only the default white background appears.


Root Cause



An issue in the custom application code or rules. This formatting is done at the skin level and the charts inherit it from the JavaScript (JS) included in pyEndUser (pyfusioncharts.theme.default).


Resolution



Perform the following local-change: 1. Open the pyEndUser skin and navigate to the Chart control.
2.
Select the 'Charts theme file (JS)'.



3. Edit the background color option in the JavaScript file to match the desired color.
