Unable to discard work object in IE after validation error

Summary
A validation error displays on a grid. On closing a work object, a modal dialog displays with the Discard or Save buttons. On clicking Discard, an alerts pops up to correct the flagged fields. However, the work object does not close. This occurs in the Internet Explorer browser.

Steps to Reproduce
- Add a grid layout with one mandatory column.
- Open a case and add an item in the grid.
- Close the tab without providing a value.
Root Cause
The alert caused the issue since it did not pass the click after the alert was closed.
Resolution
Apply HFix-48519.
