Upgrade breaks a decision table containing over 1000 rows

Summary



You have upgraded from PRPC 5.5 to Pega 7.1.5. A large decision table now returns a blank return value for specific inputs in Pega 7.1.5. The return value should not be blank. This decision table used to work correctly in PRPC 5.5 before the upgrade.

Steps to Reproduce



1. Create a decision table containing over 1000 rows in PRPC 5.5.
2. Upgrade to Pega 7.1.5.
3. Run the decision table and test every row.


Root Cause



The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code/rules.


Resolution



This issue is resolved through the following local change:

Break up the decision table into 2 or more decision tables.
