Summary
Application is updated to Pega 7.1.6. The installation of user defined functions (UDF) failed.
Error Messages

java.sql.SQLRecoverableException: Closed Connection
at oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleStatement.ensureOpen(OracleStatement.java:4001)
at oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleStatement.executeUpdateInternal(OracleStatement.java:1796)
at oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleStatement.executeUpdate(OracleStatement.java:1779)
Steps to Reproduce
Run upgrade script.
Root Cause
A defect or configuration issue in the PRPC operating environment:
The upgrade was run from laptop on Windows and the database was on Unix. The database connection was closed by the network.
Resolution
Make the following change to the PRPC operating environment:
Run the upgrade from Unix that is in the same data center as the database.
