Steps to Reproduce

Upgrade Pega.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.  This issue has been seen when upgrading on certain versions of Unix and Java 7.  Same code works fine when upgrading on different versions.

Perform the following local-change:

Modify the upgrade script to skip the "Upgrade Java Syntax" task to bypass this issue and resume the upgrade.
