Validation rules do not allow functions when using Edit Validate

Summary
When refering an Edit Validate rule in the condition field of a Validate rule, functions cannot be passed as a parameter into a message rule from the message field.
Error Messages
Syntax error, type annotations are available only when source level is at least 1.8
Syntax error on token @, delete this token
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a validation rule and call an edit validate.
- Use a message with parameters in the message field.
- Pass a function to to the message.
Root Cause
A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.
Resolution
This issue is scheduled to be resolved in update release 7.2.2.
