Meet Dilip

Let’s start off by learning a bit more about your life prior to Pega. Where are you from originally and what is your educational background?
I grew up in India with a dream to become a car racer and ended up becoming a software engineer. After graduation, I found my passion for designing creative websites after learning different web development tools and programming languages.

What motivated you to learn how to use Pega?
In 2010 I received the opportunity to explore Pega PRPC by attending a Pega Bootcamp session. It was mind-boggling to see a tool that generates code with logical inputs. I felt it was seamless and powerful with enormous capabilities. I was amazed by the capability of a product that makes the life of a web developer so easy and I immediately fell in love with the platform and started exploring it in greater detail.

How has Pega shaped or impacted your career?
At one point in time I started realizing that Pega is not just a web development tool. It actually has a variety of capabilities and the potential to change the future of how software applications are built, deployed and reused. After I went into a deep dive into the various features of Pega, from BPM to robotic automation, it paved the way for my career growth from a web developer to a Technical Architect.

How is Pega changing the organization where you work?
Pega has an immense impact on how  existing business processes are automated, modified and improved. Business users have become super confident in Pega’s flexibility to accommodate business changes very easily. With the ability to integrate with almost any software platform, Pega has played an orchestrator role for organizations to realize their maximum potential.
