Let’s start off by learning a bit more about your life prior to Pega. Where are you from originally and what is your educational background?
Growing up in Baltimore as a young child, I was always fascinated by computers and learning how they operate. I remember always attempting to tweak my computer and do all sorts of things to make it run faster and improve performance.

My interest in computer software as well as a strong foundation in math led me to pursue a degree in Electrical Engineering. I have always loved learning about new technologies and I believe this is what inspired me to work on Pega today as a full-time consultant.

What motivated you to learn how to use Pega?
Prior to my first job working at JPMorgan as a technology analyst, I had never heard of Pega. After researching the platform on my own, I saw it as an opportunity to build applications in a completely different way from how I had been taught.

I quickly realized the power of Pega and how it enables both IT and business to work together seamlessly/efficiently. Because Pega is a low-code/no code platform, it enables developers to solve complex issues and build/deploy applications much faster.

How has Pega shaped or impacted your career?
Pega has been immensely influential in helping define my IT career. I feel empowered to help improve businesses through my knowledge of Pega and I am already playing a key role in the process of making the lives of my clients easier by providing scalable solutions that improve efficiency.

I now work at Sky Solutions LLC, a niche services company that provides next-generation solutions to enterprises who want to improve their business outcomes. They specialize in attracting and developing the best Pega architects and placing them in the right situations to succeed in achieving their personal career goals.

What message or advice would you give to anyone who is considering a career as a Pega Developer?
Go for it! Learning a new technology or skill can always be rigorous at the beginning, but the value in the long run is immeasurable. Pega provides a great support community that you can leverage to help learn the platform.
