Tell us a bit about your journey - Where are you from and how did you come across Pega?
I am originally from Kolkata where I finished my B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics way back in late 2003. I started my career as a Software Engineer and then rose through the ranks to become a Technical Product Manager at Ericsson in Stockholm. After arriving in Australia in 2014, I joined Telstra as a contractor in the capacity of an Iteration Manager. Before I joined Infosys as a PEGA BA in late October 2021, I had already lived and worked out of six countries - India, UK, US, Sweden, New Zealand, and Australia. Currently I’m also pursuing a Master of Business Information Technology from RMIT.
I came across Pega in one of my earlier companies that provides services to a department within the Australian government. I was quite amazed to observe the rapid application development capabilities of Pega and the infinite possibilities Pega offers to the entire spectrum of stakeholders across a multitude of roles.
Now that you have a Pega certification, what are the career goals and objectives that you will be working towards?
I got certified as a Pega Business Architect in July 2020 to venture beyond the features of Pega I had knowledge of already. As a current RMIT student, my goal is to become a Pega Certified System Architect so that I can have comprehensive training on the entire Pega platform for future career opportunities.

What message or advice would you give to anyone who is considering a career as a Pega developer?
If you are considering a career as a Pega Developer, it will be a lot easier if you have got the basics of OOPs covered. Also, once you are there, do keep an eye on the features introduced in the new Pega releases. The best way to stay ahead is through levelling up your certifications and putting your newly gained knowledge to work.
